For Art/Photography: Submit up to ten images, which must be of publishable quality. We encourage, but do not require, titles to submitted media. 

We seek art to accompany our essays, as well as art to feature on our website. Please consult our website to get an idea of the type of essays we publish, and if you think your work would be a good fit. We are open to abstract as well as conceptual pieces, literal as well as metaphorical.

Art and photography submissions may have previously been presented online, but are eligible for publication if they have not been featured in another magazine, website, or venue besides an artist's portfolio or webpage.

For Graphic Essays: Please remove your name or any identifying information from your work as we read all submissions blind. The essay must not have appeared online or in print previously. Please advise if this is a simultaneous submission in your cover letter.

Accepting manuscripts of creative nonfiction of 7,500 words or less, including essays, graphic essays, memoir excerpts that stand alone.  We also accept manuscripts by email (email address on our website) if you prefer to avoid the $2 submission fee. Simultaneous submissions okay but please notify us promptly if your work is accepted elsewhere. Please consult our journal for the types of creative nonfiction we publish. If we previously published your work, we ask that you wait one year before submitting again. Please submit your manuscripts without identifying information on them, as we read submissions blind.
